Stephen Goodman m. 7/10/1807 in Hardin Co., KY, Elizabeth Jones, b. TN. This was probably the first marriage of Stephen, who was the brother of Amos I. Goodman. Stephen Goodman married 2nd: Milly DeFevers 8 Nov 1814 in Barren Co.

He is listed in the records of the Green River Baptist Church of Barren Co., formed in 1805, with Celia Reynolds, and other Logsdon, and Fuqua families.

Stephen Goodman, age 73, b. VA (therefore b. 1777) is recorded in the Hart Co., KY 1850 census, with Elizabeth Goodman, age 50, b. TN, Robert, age 17 b. TN, and Elizabeth, age 12, b. TN. This establishes that Stephen would have been aged 13 when his father died in Greene Co., TN in 1790.
