Genealogy Web Site Links

Links to other Goodman & related genealogy pages:

The Goodman Clearing House, by David Goodman. Primarily VA Goodmans, early 1700s to date. Over the years, Dave's site has been expanding greatly and rapidly to include Goodmans in many other states, and even more recent Goodman emigrants from Germany and other European nations. Well organized, very fancy & comprehensive. Many links plus query support. I wish I had as much spare time to devote to this work!! Dave also hosts the Goodman DNA Project, a central clearinghouse for Goodman male descendants to provide DNA results and to see what other Goodman lines they may be related to.

Nancy Goodman's page: TN, including TN and some Goodman Queries, Email, other links. Nancy's husband is descended from Robert Goodman, brother of my ancestor Amos I. Goodman of Hart Co. KY.

Bartlett Goodman, IN page. Bartlett, originally of Louisa Co., VA,  may have been a brother or cousin of my ancestor, John Goodman. My research continues on this line.

Stephen Goodman, Hart Co. KY. by Edith Bastin. Stephen Goodman was brother of my ancestor, Amos I. Goodman, and also resided in Barren/Hart Co., KY.

John Lowry Goodman, b 1796. Goodmans on Kay Martin's web site.

Blocher/Plocher. Great info on origin and European roots of Blocher/Pflocher surname. All areas, esp. the Sultz-Wuerttemberg area of SW Germany.

David Blocher's Site. David has done lots of Blocher research and was a major contributor to Marjorie Kinsey Blockers book on the Blocher families. Much of the info I have is from early EMails we exchanged, and postings on various other web forums and sites attributed to him

GenForum Surnames. A great place to see, post and reply to queries for hundreds of family names, including Goodman.

US GenWeb Project. Links to all of the state and county GenWeb sites.

RootsWeb. Another good commercial genealogy site, with free searches and message posts.

AOL Genealogy Forum. Another free site, hosted by RootsWeb. AOL keyword: ROOTS. Comprehensive site, with lots of resources and pointers for beginners as well as more experienced researchers.

Cyndi's List of genealogy sites on the internet. A large site, lots of links and references.
